About the role
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and Board, the Head of Risk & Controls will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Pace Farm’s enterprise risk management and internal control frameworks. This newly created, senior leadership role plays a critical part in ensuring Pace Farm's ongoing financial integrity, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You'll influence strategic decisions, present insights to executive leaders and the Board, and help build a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the business.
What you’ll do
* Lead the development of an enterprise risk management (ERM) framework tailored to Pace’s FMCG and agribusiness environment
* Identify, assess, and document business risks across all major functions; establish a formal risk register with clear accountability and mitigation plans
* Design and implement internal controls across core financial and operational processes (e.g. procurement, payroll, inventory, trade spend)
* Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor risk exposure, control performance, and incidents
* Engage regularly with the SMT and Board, providing insights and recommendations on risk trends and control effectiveness
* Embed governance processes and ensure compliance with internal policy frameworks and external obligations
* Partner with stakeholders in Finance, Operations, IT, Sales, and HR to embed practical controls and risk mitigations into everyday decision-making
* Champion a strong internal culture of risk awareness, integrity, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For
* 8+ years' experience in risk management, internal audit, or controls leadership
* Strong knowledge of financial and operational processes across FMCG or product-based businesses
* Experience working directly with Executive Teams and Boards
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Legal, or related field
* CA, CPA, CIA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated with strong project management and change leadership capabilities
