The Safety Advisor role reports directly to the Safety Manager and supports the execution of our health and safety strategy. By fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing, this role plays a vital part in reducing incidents, improving health and productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. A few of your responsibilities: Assist with the implementation of The Star Safety Management System (SMS) on property. Develop partnership-style relationships with management and supervisors to foster engagement with the health and safety program. Proactively identify health and safety risks and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective controls. Support incident investigations to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and share insights across The Star. Conduct audits and inspections with management and Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs) to drive continuous improvement. What we will be looking for: Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and drive positive change. Strong knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation and standards. Experience with implementing and improving safety management systems is advantageous. Newly qualified graduates with a degree or master’s in occupational health & safety are strongly encouraged to apply.
