RPR Trades is looking for multiple Civil Operators including Excavator, Bobcat-Skid Steer, Loader, Moxy, Dump Truck and Roller and Grader, throughout Sydney, from Kensington, Ramsgate, St Leonards, Norwest, Castle Hill, Rouse Hill, Liverpool and Macquarie Park.
My clients have 2.5 Tonne, 5 Tonne, 8 Tonne, 13 Tonne, 25 Tonnes and 50 Tonne machines, as well as a variety of Graders, Dozers, Moxy's and Dumpys to perform a variety of tasks. All work is Civil including Detail Excavation, Final Trim and Grade or Pipe Laying and Trenching.
Any experience in Roads, Civil and Infrastructure is brilliant. Pay rate varies depending on Experience, from $36/hr to $50/hr, TFN with Overtime and Penalty rates plus Travel and Meal allowance after 9.5hour shift.
We have positions that range from 5 days to long term. Hours range from 6.50 am onsite to 3.30pm or 5.00pm to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday shifts when needed.
You must have:
1. Current Civil Operator Ticket - VOC and / or SOA
2. WHITE CARD + PHOTO ID
3. MUST have Australian working rights
4. Full PPE including Hard Hat, Steel Cap Boots, Long Sleeve HiVis, Long Workwear Pants, Builders Gloves, Eye Protection and Ear Protection
5. Australian driver's license & reliable transport
Highly Favourable:
6. Any other machine or Truck tickets such HR, HC, MR or MC.
7. Any Demo experience – Residential or Commercial
8. Any Asbestos Tickets or Supervisor Tickets
9. Pipelaying Experience Highly Favourable
10. GPS Experience Highly Regarded

Excavator:
24. Building roads and footpaths
25. Operate 2.5T–35T machines
26. Detail, trim & grade, and bulk excavation
27. Deep hole, trenching, and footing excavation
28. Foundation and retaining wall work
29. Spread, level, and compact material
30. Dig pits, trenches, and structural footings
31. Clear vegetation and prepare work zones
32. Load/unload trucks and trailers
33. Perform demolition tasks (if licensed)
34. Operate attachments as required
35. Break, drill, compact, move, and spread earth, rock, rubble, and soil
Moxy (Articulated Dump Truck):
36. Safely haul materials across uneven and rough terrain
37. Load and unload loose material (soil, rock, spoil, sand)
38. Maintain safe tipping practices in tight or inclined work zones
39. Work in coordination with excavators, loaders, and dozers
40. Conduct pre-starts and routine maintenance checks
41. Support bulk earthworks, drainage, and large-scale material movements
Dozer / Loader:
42. Push and spread bulk materials (soil, rock, gravel) across large work zones
43. Assist in levelling, grading, and shaping terrain
44. Strip topsoil and assist in base preparation
45. Create access roads, pads, and drainage paths
46. Maintain material stockpiles and batter slopes
47. Work around survey marks and GPS coordinates (if required)
Skid Steer / Pozi:
48. Conduct fine grading and finish work in tight or confined areas
49. Load and distribute small loads of materials
50. Clear debris, brush, and spoil quickly
51. Maintain access paths and site cleanliness
52. Assist with backfilling, compacting, and trench support
53. Operate multiple attachments
Grader Operator:
54. Operate grader to cut, spread, and level earth, gravel, and other materials to fine tolerances
55. Perform rough and final trim grading for roads, pads, trenches, and drainage lines
56. Work to laser, string line, and/or GPS (if equipped) to meet required levels and specifications
57. Maintain consistent grade across long distances (e.g., roadways, subdivisions, infrastructure corridors)
58. Create and shape drainage swales, table drains, batters, and shoulders
59. Prepare surfaces for sealing, concrete pours, or pavement layers
60. Operate across various site conditions (soft, uneven, sloped, confined)
61. Coordinate with roller, water cart, and loader operators to ensure proper compaction and finish
62. Conduct daily pre-starts and routine maintenance (blade checks, hydraulic inspection, etc.)
63. Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and site supervisors to ensure grade accuracy
64. Maintain awareness of underground services and environmental controls
65. Adjust blade angle, pitch, and height for different terrain and grading tasks
Water Cart Operator:
66. Operate water cart to suppress dust across active civil sites
67. Fill, operate, and discharge water to designated areas (roads, trenches, stockpiles)
68. Maintain safe speeds and awareness in high-traffic work zones
69. Monitor and manage water usage throughout the day
70. Assist in compaction processes by maintaining appropriate moisture levels
71. Refill tanks from designated water sources or standpipes
72. Conduct pre-start inspections and minor maintenance of the vehicle
73. Work alongside roller and grader operators to aid material preparation
Roller Operator:
74. Operate smooth drum or padfoot roller for compaction of subgrade and base layers
75. Compact soil, gravel, asphalt, and other materials to spec
76. Work in coordination with grader and water cart to maintain compaction moisture levels
77. Conduct rolling patterns to meet density and compaction targets
78. Perform safe operation on inclines, edges, and around excavations
79. Complete and document pre-start safety checks
80. Assist in ground preparation prior to paving or construction
81. Identify and report any inconsistencies or soft spots in materials
