Infrastructure Manager Job Description
The Infrastructure Manager will lead the team responsible for maintaining and supporting the system's infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
This role involves strategic planning, team management, and collaboration across technical teams to maintain a robust infrastructure that aligns with organisational objectives.
* Lead and manage the team responsible for server deployment, maintenance, and support within the Infrastructure unit.
* Oversee the design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of server and database environments supporting applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between the database and server infrastructures.
* Develop and implement server deployment strategies in alignment with growth plans and project initiatives.
* Lead the team on proactively monitoring server and database environments, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and potential issues to maintain optimal system performance.
* Engage in capacity planning exercises to ensure server resources meet the organisation's requirements and facilitate scalability.
* Lead disaster recovery planning and failover/fallback exercises for the infrastructure, ensuring timely recovery in case of failures and minimizing data loss.
* Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to troubleshoot incidents and problems, and implement solutions.
* Define, document, and enforce support policies, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.
