My client is a builder developer who does a range of projects for a range of clients across various values. Projects to $100m, from student accommodation, residential, light industrial, commercial, this the type of firm that you are not pigeon holed, allowed to create your own destiny and genuinely allowed to become a PM.
Our client has been around for 30 years, and a huge client portfolio of repeat business. With stunning ofices in Toorak, you will be part of a small delivery team which no box ticking to be promoted, have the sole opportunity to eventually move into project management.
Your new role
You will start out in a CA role. You will work closely with the Construction Manager who is a top bloke and help steer your career, something that being a number at other larger Tier 1's may not provide. You will have the opportunity to gain a more rounded experience, gain more knowledge, have more responsibility, therefore accelerate your career not project management.
Must have experience in;
Able to support Quotation and Tender Process Assistance with Contract Drafting, Estimating and Scope of Works Knowledge of Building Programs: Familiarity with current software like Nexvia, Buildertrend etc Project Budget Management: Ability to track costs, process Variations, RFI's, Progress Claims & Invoicing Coordinate of Procurement & Subcontractor, Scheduling Preparation of Safety Documentation: including site permits & compliance reports for each Job site Administrative Support: Across procurement, budgeting and document control, Ability to Read Construction Drawings: Prepare take-offs and cost estimates, Preparation of Purchase Orders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be degree qualified in a Construction related degree
Experience working for a builder on similar type projects
Strong communication and confident when dealing with subcontractors.
Based close to Toorak for daily commute.
Strong commercial mindset
Local builder experience required- knowledge of subcontractors
Based in Melbourne, full working rights
