Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This is a fixed-term contract for 10 months, covering maternity leave.
About the Role:
* Prepare month-end, quarter-end and yearly accounting reports, along with associated analysis and commentary.
* Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
* Participate actively in the audit process for both group and local audits.
* Reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts.
* Prepare rolling cashflow forecasts and manage cash requirements.
* Support quarterly forecasting and yearly budgeting.
* Ensure effective operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Support tax lodgments, including BAS, CAS and annual FBT return.
About You:
* CAPA qualification essential, preferably CA qualified.
* Proven accounting experience (preferably 5+ years), ideally with an audit background.
* Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
* Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements, management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
* Audit, tax and payroll expertise.
* Familiarity with large organizational structures.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to change.
* High-level interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrate high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
