About The Client
A Queensland Government organisation responsible for the stewardship and regulation of the states natural resources and mining sector, this department plays a critical role in policy development, compliance, and sustainable resource management. It oversees mining and exploration activities, land and water resources, and environmental and safety standards, working closely with industry, communities and other government agencies to ensure responsible development, economic growth and the long-term protection of Queenslands natural assets.
About The Role
WorkPac are seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engagement officer for a role based in Nerang. This role is offering a Monday to Friday roster and require some travel at times. Join the Gold Coast Manufacturing Hub team to support the growth of the manufacturing sector through industry engagement, program and project development and delivery and collaboration across key industry partners, government agencies and the broader manufacturing ecosystem.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Developing and delivering place-based workshops and forums to support capability and capacity development of the industry
* Liaising with industry partners, local businesses, local governments, economic development agencies and education institutions to lead the growth of regional manufacturing
* Linking business and industry to skills development and training programs
* Assisting manufacturers to access relevant advanced manufacturing programs including Queensland and Australian government programs
* Supporting project facilitation to pursue and provide guidance of opportunities that deliver on the competitive and comparative advantages of regional Queensland.
* Represent and advocate for the Department and its various interests at a high level including with key regional stakeholders to ensure that the governments Manufacturing Hub objectives are well understood
* Demonstrate commitment to the Departments corporate values and foster an environment of strong customer service, teamwork, open communication, leadership and innovation
* Other duties as directed and required.
Skills And Experience Required
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and engagement skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
* Proven experience in leading and managing the development and delivery of multiple complex projects, programs and initiatives.
* Experience in developing and delivering place-based workshops and forums to foster capability and capacity development.
* Experience in the manufacturing sector, with in-depth knowledge of the broader manufacturing landscape and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes.
