The Role
The Swim Squad Coach develops training plans that demonstrate progression for swimmers through various levels and leads a team of instructors to develop the program and pathway from the Swimming and Water Safety program. The role requires a Bronze Level or higher qualification and involves coordinating squad programs under the guidance of our Head Coach, with additional hours as needed for program expansion.
About You
You enjoy swimming, working with children to adult athletes, and teaching skills related to competitive swimming and water safety. You should be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of students and work both independently and as part of a team. Essential skills include:
Leading a team to develop programs and pathways
Ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations
Promoting the squad program and participation in the affiliated Swimming Club
Maintaining necessary qualifications and conducting activities safely
Monitoring swimmer progression and encouraging participation in competitions
You may be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and attend competitions throughout the year, with empathy for the needs of the program and facility users.
