MESenior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the delivery of MEP services on various projects, including Defence, Health, and Commercial.
The primary objective will be to manage and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional MEP services while growing cost management opportunities.
* Lead the team to deliver MEP services from feasibility cost planning to agreement of final account.
* Manage and develop the team to deliver our MEP services.
* Lead MEP bid opportunities.
* Assist with feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
* Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan to internal and external clients.
* Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A recognised degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering is desired.
* MRICS/AIQS accreditation or equivalent ideal.
* Relevant work experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
* Great understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
* Experience in the cost management sector.
* Proficient in the use of Cost X.
* Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
* Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
* Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients and working independently.
* Understanding of / or interest in alternative technologies and ecologically sustainable design.
