Salary: $86,887 - $93,066 + up to 15.4% Superannuation

The Role
The APS 5 Governance Officer provides support to the Navy Aviation, Aircrew Training and Commons (NATC) Branch Executive and Support (Ex&S) team. Within the NATC Ex&S team, the position will work as part of the Strategic Management team which manages branch strategic and governance functions.
The Governance Officer will undertake duties as outlined below:
* Optimise NATC Branch-wide records management.
* Assure Objective records management compliance across the Branch, working collaboratively with Work Group Coordinators within NATC directorates.
* Support the implementation of the NATC Governance Program and conduct governance activities to meet business objectives.
* Identify and interpret relevant information to update NATC communications and online information.
* Develop and maintain NATC Ex&S Standard Operating Procedures.
* Fulfil duties of Unit Security Officer for the NATC Ex&S team.
* Assist in the NATC Executive Assistant role during periods of high activity and leave.
This role requires the ability to prioritise and balance activities to manage peaks and troughs, attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The Governance Officer will also be required to assist in the NATC Executive Assistant role during periods of high activity and leave.
About our Team
This position is part of the highly motivated NATC Executive and Support (Ex&S) Team that directly supports the Director General of NATC to oversee the acquisition and sustainment of key Navy and Air Force capabilities.
The Ex&S team is responsible for coordination of NATC's business planning cycle; task management and oversight, risk management and Branch personnel and finance functions, among others.
Within the Ex&S Team, the NATC Strategic Management Team manages the strategic planning and governance aspects of the Branch including coordination of the NATC Governance Program and quality activities.
Solid interpersonal and organisational skills along with the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with key stakeholders. High level of attention to detail with an ability to get results. An interest in exploring cutting-edge approaches to support and improve business processes. Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team.
