Job Title: Lead School Psychologist
The role of a Lead School Psychologist is critical in delivering high-quality psychological services across schools. This 5-month fixed-term position, commencing Term 3, 2025, offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of psychologists.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Strategic Leadership: As a school psychologist with the Mid West Education Region, you will be responsible for overseeing professional learning and supervision, ensuring that provisionally registered psychologists meet the standards outlined in the Competency Framework for School Psychologists.
* Expert Guidance: Drive the implementation of contemporary psychological practices and innovative programs that foster positive outcomes for students, schools, and the broader education system.
* Complex Issue Management: Play a critical role in managing complex issues, providing expert advice on emergency and critical incident responses, and influencing systemic change through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria:
* Hold or be eligible for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
* Have achieved Advanced Skills School Psychologist status for permanent appointment to this position.
