The Role:
This is not your typical accounting role. With this opportunity, you'll be hands‐on from day one, owning the day‐to‐day financial operations while shaping the financial systems and processes of a fast‐scaling ecommerce business. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in high‐volume ecommerce environments, with a proven track record in inventory management, cash flow optimization, and scaling businesses. You'll have the chance to:

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll.
* Develop and implement efficient inventory management systems to support high‐volume ecommerce operations.
* Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure operational liquidity and optimize working capital.
* Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for leadership.
* Optimize the use of financial technology to enhance reporting and scalability.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to align financial planning with sales, marketing, and operational goals.
* Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
* Ensure compliance with Australian, US, and global tax laws, filing requirements, and regulatory standards.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
* Transition into broader financial leadership as the company grows, including mentoring and developing a high‐performing finance team.
* Multi‐Currency Management: Handle multi‐currency transactions and financial reporting across different regions.
* Tax Nexus Compliance: Navigate complex multi‐tax nexus environments to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
* Global Financial Operations: Oversee global warehousing operations and inventory management from an accounting perspective.
* 3PL Coordination: Work with third‐party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline financial aspects of global distribution.
* Importing Requirements: Manage accounting for global importing requirements and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
* Distribution Network Accounting: Develop and maintain accounting processes for a robust global distribution network to support international sales.
What We're Looking For:
* A Senior Accountant with a track record of operational excellence, ideally within high‐volume ecommerce or inventory‐driven businesses.
* Experience with financial reporting.
* Strong technical acumen and an interest in technology‐driven solutions to streamline finance operations.
* Deep understanding of inventory management, supply chain operations, and financial modeling.
* Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

* Proficiency in financial tools, ERP systems, and ecommerce platforms.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.
