Located in Thomastown, Victoria, Easiform Drawer Systems is a leading manufacturer of durable and innovative components for wardrobes and kitchens, serving both national and international markets.
They now seek an experienced Cabinet Maker to join their team in Thomastown, Victoria.
The Role
This is a full time role with an annual salary set at $77,500 plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
* Interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and CAD production specifications to manufacture custom cabinetry and drawer components
* Set up and operate CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders and drilling machines to produce precision cabinetry parts
* Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber, laminates and composite materials for wardrobes and kitchen systems
* Construct and assemble cabinet carcasses, drawer boxes, runners and hardware in accordance with manufacturing standards
* Install hinges, slides, fittings and specialty storage mechanisms ensuring alignment and smooth operation
* Conduct quality control inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, finish quality and structural integrity
* Apply laminates, edging, veneers and surface finishes to meet design and durability specifications
* Troubleshoot machining faults, material defects and assembly issues to minimise production delays
* Maintain tools, machinery and equipment in accordance with safety and preventative maintenance procedures
* Collaborate with production planners, designers and supervisors to meet manufacturing schedules and export deadlines
* Package and prepare completed cabinetry components for domestic and international shipment
* Adhere to WHS regulations, safe handling of machinery, and workshop safety protocols
The Requirements
* Relevant cabinet making trade qualifications
* Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing custom kitchen and wardrobe cabinetry
* Minimum 1 year programming, setting and calibrating CNC routers including toolpath verification, nesting optimisation, feed rate adjustment and tolerance control within ±0.5mm
* Minimum 1 year applying PVC, ABS and veneer edge banding using automated edge banders
* Minimum 1 year assembling precision drawer systems incorporating soft close runners, concealed hinges, load rated slides and alignment adjustment mechanisms
* Minimum 1 year operating CBC machines, troubleshooting CNC machining errors, bit wear issues, laminate delamination, hardware misalignment and production bottlenecks
* Demonstrated understanding of WHS compliance, machine guarding standards, dust extraction systems and safe handling of engineered timber products in an industrial manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of different types of wood and other materials used in cabinet making, including their properties, grain patterns, and appropriate uses
* Experience to perform the aforementioned duties
