About the Role
The primary role of a TAFE SA Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives designed to inspire the next generation of electricians and electrotechnology professionals. We are seeking someone who is eager to share their expertise, support student success, and contribute to the growth of the electrotechnology workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-standard training in the Electrotechnology field including developing and utilising a variety of learning resources and teaching methodologies.
* Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment in both workshops and simulated training settings.
* Engage with a diverse student population, including both adult learners and school-age students.
The successful applicant will have:
* Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Electrotechnology
* Electrical qualifications, minimum Certificate III in Electrical
* A current Unrestricted Electrical License
Highly desirable:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 or TAE40122. No Certificate in Training and Assessment? Please reach out via the enquiries number, TAFE SA can support you gaining this qualification.
* A broad range of experience across different sectors of the Electrotechnology industry including Commercial, Industrial, Domestic, and Mining sectors.
* Capability in using Microsoft Office Suite, email, and Moodle or similar LMS systems, or an ability to learn Digital tasks.
* Passion for developing and implementing inclusive and contemporary teaching methodologies.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant must provide evidence of a valid DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing employment. Applicants who do not currently hold a WWCC will be required to apply through the Department of Human Services (DHS).
* Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
* Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
* May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
* Incumbent will be required to participate in the Department's performance Development Program.
* A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
* Eligible to work in Australia
