The Opportunity
This is a chance to step into a key role where your organisational and problem-solving skills will truly make an impact. As Senior Business Support Officer, you'll be the trusted partner to the Executive Director and leadership team, ensuring the division runs smoothly and efficiently.
From coordinating complex business support functions to streamlining processes and contributing to key projects, you'll have the scope to work autonomously while also guiding and supporting others. You'll be a central point of contact, building strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders to keep initiatives moving forward.

About you
You are a reliable and adaptable team player who enjoys keeping things running smoothly and supporting others to do their best work. With a good understanding of government processes, you bring a practical approach and a genuine commitment to providing quality service.
You communicate clearly and work well with people at all levels, building positive relationships and finding constructive ways to resolve issues. You are comfortable juggling competing priorities, staying organised, and using sound judgement to keep tasks moving.
Detail-oriented and thorough, you take care to produce accurate work and provide timely advice. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you bring a cooperative attitude and a focus on helping the division achieve its goals.
Special Conditions
* A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
* Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 12 months.
Remuneration
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 pa + Superannuation.
