Our client is well established and continuously growing supplier of commercial fuel solutions that include a large network of unmanned diesel stops, bulk fuel delivery services, fuel storage equipment, tank monitoring and fuel management systems. The organisation services both small and large clients alike, across a range of sectors including transport, agriculture, civil construction, oil & gas, and mining to name a few. Currently, there is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic, growing business in the role of Area Sales Manager - South-western QLD.

The role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the position can be based in Toowoomba or other areas in SW QLD and will focus on the acquisition and ongoing management of customers throughout the southwest and central western QLD region.

Key responsibilities include the following,

Promoting the company's full range of services to both new and existing customers throughout the region;
Developing a territory and relationship management plan to effectively manage customers within the region;
Continuously researching, prospecting, and evaluating leads to develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, with a focus on the oil & gas, agricultural, civil construction, and transport sectors;
Developing a deep understanding of customer needs and providing fuel delivery and supply solutions that address these;
Negotiating pricing and supply agreements to achieve growth within the region;
Working closely with the company's operations team to plan out customer deliveries and maintain service levels;
Regularly travelling throughout the territory to build strong customer relationships and keep up to date on key projects; and

Maintaining the company's CRM and monthly reporting to management on market activity.

Required Experience

Prior experience in a Sales, Business Development or Account Management, preferably within an industrial type environment;
Strong territory management and business development skills;
Customer focused with well-developed planning skills;
Self-motivated, resilient, and resourceful personality and capable of working autonomously or with a team;
Well-developed negotiation and problem-solving skills;
Demonstrated knowledge and relationships within the region across key sectors including oil & gas, agriculture, civil construction would be an advantage;
Sound computer skills (MS office and CRM's); and

Willing to travel regularly throughout the region (the first six months will require weekly travel to Roma).
