Description
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support the assessment of scientific and IT equipment and software within a specialised operational environment.
The role will involve engaging with stakeholders to capture business processes, system requirements, and support arrangements, with a strong focus on ICT and forensic systems. You will contribute to delivering clear, structured analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
* Engage with stakeholders to define scope of work and required deliverables
* Capture and document business processes related to ICT and forensic systems
* Assess and document system requirements, including scientific equipment and supporting technologies
* Engage with stakeholders to understand support arrangements, infrastructure, and operational processes
* Analyse current systems and identify opportunities for improvement
* Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations
* Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment
Requirements
* Ability to analyse problems and develop solutions aligned to business requirements
* Experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience capturing business processes within ICT and/or forensic environments
* Experience gathering ICT system requirements, including scientific equipment
* Knowledge of cyber security practices such as the Australian Government Information Security Manual and Essential Eight
* Familiarity with ITIL Service Management principles

* Solution The extent to which the potential supplier's response meets the Client's requirements as set out in the ATM documents (Equal weighing)
* Ability to Deliver The extent to which the potential supplier demonstrates its capability and capacity to provide the requirements (Equal weighing)
* Whole of life costs The whole of life costs for the Client. Evaluation includes the quoted price and any costs the Client will incur after accepting the potential supplier's response (equal weighing)
