The Welder / Fabricator is required to complete all facets of welding and fabrication (including general) works on time, in full and to standard, while striving for continuous improvement. The Welder / Fabricator is responsible for keeping themselves and their colleagues safe as well as maintaining a clean, tidy and productive work environment

What’s Involved
Construct primary structures such as frames, keels, girders, and deck beams for vessels.Construct secondary structures such as walkways, handrails, equipment brackets and bases.Read and understand technical documents and workshop drawings.Adhere to the Austal Safety and Quality standards.Maintain a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.
You’ll Need
The successful applicant will be a trade qualified Fabricator/Boilermaker/Sheet Metalworker or Vehicle Body Builder who has:Experience in aluminium and/or steel fabrication or MIG weldingA positive and professional work ethic, taking pride in finished work.Be physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, as well a Construction safety induction (white card)
