Dental Assistant
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to public dental patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Oral Health unit in the provision of efficient and effective dental health services to clients in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare, maintain, and manage the dental clinic to a high infection control standard.
* Provide clinical chairside assistance to Dentists, Dental Therapists, and Oral Health Therapists within the Sunbury clinic and offsite during outreach services and Smile Squad.
* Assist in re-processing of instruments, which may include podiatry as well as dental instruments.
* Administrative support to the dental team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
* Minimum 12-months recent experience working as a dental assistant within Australia/New Zealand.
