Responsibilities

* The Artistic Visionary: Develop and drive an exciting co‐curricular vision for Drama, Dance, and Music across Years 5-12, ensuring there are entry points for beginners and elite pathways for our rising stars.
* The Master of Ceremonies: Lead, coordinate, and produce our major signature events, from the glitzy annual Performing Arts Awards Dinner and local Eisteddfods to weekly assembly showcases.
* The Musical Maverick: Collaboratively lead the biennial school musical and Broadway‐style productions alongside our Head of Curriculum and Faculty teams.
* The Ultimate Collaborator: Partner with our Primary Performing Arts Teacher to make sure our Year 5-6 students transition seamlessly into the secondary spotlight. You'll also work closely with our peripatetics staff to champion our brilliant instrumental and vocal tutors.
* The Community Builder: Rally our parent and community fan club—the Friends of Performing Arts—to coordinate fun fundraising initiatives, community performances, and local networking.

Qualifications

* Accredited & Ready: You are a qualified secondary teacher with passion across two areas of the Performing Arts and/or VET Entertainment, you are eligible for NESA accreditation, holding a current CPR/First Aid certificate (and, of course, a NSW Working with Children Check).

* Master of the "We": You believe that performing arts is a team sport. You are a high‐order communicator who can collaborate effortlessly with teachers, technical crew, finance staff, parents, and students.
* Tech‐Savvy Producer: You are comfortable using modern educational technology and administrative tools (TASS, Google Suite, Schoolbox) and the potential to develop VET Entertainment to keep the show running smoothly behind the scenes.
* Supporter of our Ethos: You are ready to embrace the Bishop Druitt Way—a philosophy of inclusiveness ("come as you are"), deep learning, character development, and service within our Anglican tradition.

Benefits

* The Stage: Modern, agile performance spaces and a supportive, creative faculty.
* The Support: A dedicated Level 1 Coordinator and 8 periods of release per cycle to give you the time to dream big, plan events, and mentor students.
* The Location: Coffs Harbour offers the ultimate work‐life balance—gorgeous beaches, sub‐tropical climate, and a vibrant local arts community.
* The Culture: A school that genuinely values the arts as a visible, celebrated, and admired pillar of student life.
