About the role
Join our team at Regal Rexnord as a full-time Mechanical Fitter in our Bennetts Green, NSW workshop. In this hands-on role, you will play a crucial part in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment, contributing to the smooth operation of our manufacturing business.
What you'll be doing
* Perform skilled mechanical fitting work, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of gearboxes
* Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to carry out fitting and adjustment tasks accurately
* Disassemble, inspect, and diagnose issues with gearboxes, then carry out necessary repairs or replacements
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of equipment
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete complex projects
* Maintain detailed records of work undertaken and report on any identified issues or recommendations for improvement
What we're looking for
* Formal trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, with a minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance
* Experience in strip, assess and assembly of fixed plant gear reducers
* Can accurately use measuring equipment
* Experience in laser alignment
* Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals
* Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
* Commitment to working safely and following all relevant health and safety procedures
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Willing to undertake occasional short term site work
* Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
