We are hiring a Product Test Manager to lead testing excellence across a globally recognised portfolio of residential and industrial products spanning electromechanical, electrical, electronic (hardware, firmware, and software) systems.
This role is ideal for an experienced technical leader who thrives in test strategy, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and building high-performance engineering teams.
You'll lead a team working across verification, validation, compliance, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.
What You\'ll Be Doing
Lead the Test Engineering Function
* Own the end-to-end test strategy across electromechanical and electronic product categories, aligning with design, certification, and industrialisation.
* Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Test Engineers and Certification Engineers.
* Develop and refine test frameworks, methods, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
* Define and oversee creation of comprehensive test plans across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and embedded software domains.
* Drive execution of functional, performance, reliability, and environmental testing for complex electromechanical systems.
* Ensure testing rigor through methods such as root-cause analysis, SPC, audits, and data-driven continuous improvement.
* Champion automation and data analytics to improve test coverage, speed, and traceability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner closely with hardware, firmware, and software design teams to embed testing early in the product lifecycle.
* Collaborate with mechanical and industrialisation teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability.
* Streamline test and certification pathways within agile product development cycles to support iterative design and release.
* Engage with external test labs, suppliers, and partners to ensure comprehensive compliance and quality coverage.
Governance, Quality & Standards
* Oversee all compliance-related testing activities, ensuring alignment with AS/NZS, IEC, UL, EESS, EMC, IP, and other relevant standards.
* Lead audits and maintain adherence to ISO and internal quality frameworks .
* Report on quality metrics, defect trends, and cross-functional improvement outcomes.
What You Bring
* Degree inElectromechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline .
* Extensive experience in V&V, test engineering, or quality leadership across multi-domain electromechanical products.
* Demonstrated success leading technical test teams in complex hardware environments .
* Strong understanding of compliance, certification, and regulatory frameworks for residential and industrial products.
* Hands-on experience with structured testing, quality tools, lab management, and environmental or endurance testing.
* Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience within residential or industrial product development environments is highly desirable.
* Bonus: Background in agile or fast-paced product development environments .
