Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Fitters Immediate starts available with day shift hours Several permanent Full Time roles Leading Australian manufacturer & supplier of specialized trucks & equipment Ormeau QLD location The Company Leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of specialized trucks and equipment, specializing in water trucks, vacuum excavation trucks, and waste management vehicles for industries like mining and construction. You will be involved in, but not limited to: Heavy Vehicle/Truck assembly and installation of components, systems, and accessories to engineered specifications, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards Assemble heavy-duty trucks according to engineered drawings and build instructions. Fit, install and adjust vehicle components including hydraulics, tanks, electrical equipment, hoses, fittings and accessories. Conduct functional tests on equipment and vehicles to verify operation and compliance with requirements. Perform self-checks, inspections and rework where required to maintain high quality standards. To be successful, you will have: Trade qualification (Automotive, Diesel Fitting, Fabrication or Mechanical). Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Fitter/Assembler or similar mechanical trade role. Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, compressors, water pumps, diesel equipment or electrical components. Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and SOPs. Hours & Rate: Up to $45/hr Full time plus super depending on skills and experience Production team works a 76-hour fortnight: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm Friday Every second Friday is an RDO.
