About the Role
* Assist in delivering initiatives and activities from the Economic Development Strategy and Action Plans.
* Engage with residents, businesses, and community organisations to promote economic development initiatives and gather meaningful feedback.
* Help plan and coordinate economic development activities, including business workshops, networking events, and promotional opportunities.
* Conduct research on economic trends, industry sectors, and emerging business opportunities within the local area.
* Support business growth and investment attraction through stakeholder engagement, project support, and contributing to marketing and strategic planning activities.
About You
* An excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strategic and analytical, with the ability to translate data into meaningful recommendations.
* Innovative and enthusiastic about fostering a resilient local economy.
* Able to manage multiple projects and build strong community relationships.
* Experienced in economic development, business administration, policy, planning, or a related field (local government experience highly regarded).
