Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment operations or middle office analyst to step into a front office Investment Analyst role.
Working closely with Senior Portfolio Managers, you will support the implementation of the multi-asset investment process across portfolio construction, research, risk, performance and execution.
The role provides hands on exposure to investment decision making, Investment Committees and portfolio management meetings, making it ideal for candidates seeking to broaden their investment skillset beyond operations and move into portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
* Support portfolio implementation and trade execution across listed securities, managed funds and derivatives
* Produce quantitative and qualitative analysis to support asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management
* Assist with investment performance, risk and attribution analysis
* Support investment and manager research across multi-asset strategies including equities, fixed income, alternatives and currencies
* Prepare investment committee papers, fund reports and client communications
* Work closely with investment operations and client services to ensure efficient portfolio implementation and continuous process improvement
Skills & Experience
* 3-5 years' experience in investment operations, middle office, or investment support, ideally within asset management or wealth management
* Strong interest in investment markets and a clear desire to move into a front office role
* Experience with trade support, portfolio data, performance reporting or risk analytics
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills; exposure to VBA, SQL, Python or similar tools highly regarded
* Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with Portfolio Managers
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
