The role
Clinical Nurse – Broome Hospital Medical and Surgical Ward, WACHS Kimberley
Position: Clinical Nurse (Full Time/Part Time). This role supports patient care in the General Medical department of Broome Hospital, Kimberley, Western Australia.
Responsibilities
- Deliver competent nursing care, using advanced clinical nursing skills.
- Act as clinical resource and provide supervision and support for registered nurses, enrolled nurses and nursing assistants.
- Provide support, direction, orientation and education to staff and patients.
- Model holistic care, ensuring quality and risk management are incorporated into practice.
- Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager with unit management duties.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licence, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated advanced nursing skills in the area of practice.
- Proficiency in planning, coordination, decision‐making and communication.
- Experience in quality and risk management and team leadership/mentorship.
- Commitment to ongoing education and teaching in own expertise.
- Eligible to work full time or part time in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident or suitable visa).
