War Memorial Hospital (WMH) is a 3rd Schedule Aged Rehabilitation hospital, situated in Waverley, owned and operated by Uniting and part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). Services are comprised of 24-hour inpatient care, Monday to Friday outpatient departments, iREAP Day Rehabilitation program, several specialist community teams inclusive of Transitional Aged Care, Geriatric Flying Squad, Young Onset Dementia, and Day Centre program, 24-hour accommodation service for regional guests and the full range of hospital support services. It is set within beautiful tranquil grounds and is a well-supported team environment.

The Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of flexible, comprehensive pharmacy services at the War Memorial Hospital consistent with Uniting, NSW Health and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. Alongside the Senior Pharmacist, the Grade 2 Pharmacist provides high quality and client focused pharmacy services including dispensing and distribution of inpatient and discharge medications in accordance with NSW Health policy; counselling and educating patients and/or their carers regarding their medications; managing the procurement and storage of medications in accordance with legal requirements and contributes to medication safety and education initiatives across the campus.
This position is part time temporary role on a Thursday and Friday

Selection Criteria
* Current Pharmacy Registration with AHPRA without restrictions
* Extensive experience in provision of pharmacy services and clinical pharmacy in a hospital setting (minimum 3 years), with exposure to rehabilitation and aged care
* High level experience using health information systems such as iPharmacy, the eMR, and other computer systems
* Proven high-level interpersonal, written, computer and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate across all levels and departments with internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrated high level of organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
* Demonstrated ability to practice autonomously with minimal supervision and proven attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature
* Evidence of participation in accreditation processes such as National Standards, and contribution to quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes
All Category A NSW Health workers are required to have received an annual seasonal Influenza vaccination or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. COVID-19 vaccinations are strongly recommended for all NSW Health workers.
