Senior HR Manager Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Manager to join one of Australia's largest engineering companies, operating in diverse projects across various sectors (energy, infrastructure, renewables, manufacturing, defence, construction, aviation).
The Senior HR Manager will lead and oversee HR operations across multiple states in Australia, offering a unique blend of strategic and operational HR elements within complex project environments.
You will be the primary point of contact for HR matters, guiding project teams and collaborating with other departments to optimize HR processes and drive business success.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and align HR strategies within regions
* Lead a large team of HR professionals
* Serve as the primary escalation point for employee relations issues
* Present HR strategies and frameworks to clients, highlighting the company's commitment to workforce planning and effective HR management
* Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, supporting HR teams and employees in their career progression and skills development
* Manage HR cycles, including Performance Reviews, Remuneration Reviews, and Capability Reviews
* Develop detailed workforce plans for project transitions, ensuring optimal resource allocation
* Lead regional recruitment teams
* Collaborate across departments to achieve business objectives
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in Human Resources or related field
* 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 in a leadership role
* Ideal experience working in engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries, with ER/IR legislative knowledge
* Experience managing operations across different regions/sites
