Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Casa Community across multiple locations and service areas. This role requires a highly organised, strategic, and people-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. You will play a key role in scaling our impact nationally, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring operational excellence aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic & Operational Leadership

* Support the CEO in executing the strategic plan and scaling operations across all Australian states.
* Manage rollout and readiness of new service locations and initiatives, including aged care, home care, hydroponics, and supported accommodation.
* Develop and implement organisational systems, policies, and procedures to drive consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Resource & Staff Management

* Lead, manage, and develop staff across departments, including Employment Services, Community Programs, HR, and Administration.
* Provide day-to-day direction to teams, ensuring efficient coordination and accountability across sites.
* Select, onboard, and assess the performance of key team leaders and support staff.

Financial Oversight & Compliance

* Work closely with the CEO and finance team to manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and cost-efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with NDIS, DES, WHS, and all relevant regulatory and quality standards.
* Assist in preparing operational reports, funding submissions, and internal performance reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

* Liaise with community organisations, service providers, TAFE institutions, and commercial partners such as the Salvation Army.
* Represent the organisation at forums, public hearings, and sector events as required.
* Support the CEO with stakeholder reporting and board communication.

Program Development & Innovation

* Drive continuous improvement and innovation across service delivery.
* Identify opportunities for new initiatives and operational efficiencies, especially in social enterprise models (e.g. ceramics store, hydroponics).
* Assist in planning and implementing technology or sustainability initiatives that enhance service outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:Essential:

* Proven experience in an operational management or senior leadership role, preferably within disability services, NDIS, aged care, or social enterprise.
* Strong ability to manage teams, develop processes, and lead multi-site operations.
* Solid understanding of the NDIS, DES, and compliance frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience in budgeting, reporting, and financial performance management.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Passionate about inclusion, social impact, and building thriving communities.

Desirable:

* Lived experience with disability or direct involvement in the disability sector.
* Experience in launching new programs, scaling services, or managing business growth.
* Interest or background in sustainable industries like hydroponics or social enterprise development.
