About the role
As a Cellar Door Host, you'll be at the heart of creating memorable wine experiences for every guest at the Petaluma Cellar Door. Your passion for hospitality and premium wine will shine as you welcome visitors, share stories, and present some of the finest wines in our portfolio. Set against the stunning backdrop of our picturesque Adelaide Hills vineyard, you'll work alongside a warm and supportive team to craft moments that guests will truly cherish.
This role is a Permanent Part Time Position, 3 days per week (18 hours total, 6-hour shifts). You must be available to work across a 7-day roster.
What You'll Do:
* Deliver exceptional cellar door experiences, including hosting tastings, tours, and events
* Manage daily operations such as cash handling, stock replenishment, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
* Promote wine club memberships and assist with growing our premium member base through in-house and phone marketing.
* Prepare and serve light food, platters and assist with wine order packing and dispatch.
* Support the Cellar Door Manager with events that showcase our historic venue and premium portfolio.

* Strong understanding and passion for wine and the winemaking process
* Ability to portray stories to others – both wine and history

* Ability to work in a diverse team
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a cellar door or the wine industry (highly desirable)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and with a team
* WSET Level 2 (desirable)
* Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA)
* Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling (desirable)
* Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft suit and EDM software (desirable)
Physical & Other Requirements
* Must have drivers Licence
* This role involves occasional lifting of heavy objects
* Frequent manual handling of glassware for polishing
* Regular weekday and weekend work is required
