Position SummaryThe M365 Collaboration Engineer is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end modern collaboration services across Microsoft 365, including identity foundations, email migration, content migration, Teams governance, and collaboration enablement. This role drives the organisation’s transition from on‑premises systems to cloud-based productivity services and ensures stable, secure, and user‑friendly experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement Entra ID / hybrid identity, including sync, Conditional Access, MFA, break‑glass Exchange Online migrations (Hybrid Configuration Wizard, namespace, DNS, EOP, DKIM/DMARC).Execute SharePoint Online and OneDrive migrations using SPMT/ShareGate; develop IA, hub sites, permissions models.Configure Teams policies, meeting/recording governance, app permission policies, team lifecycle/archival controls.Develop scripts using PowerShell/Graph/PNP for automation, policy deployment, and reporting.Support foundational compliance activities (basic labels, retention, external sharing governance).Perform environment health checks, readiness assessments, and operational documentation.
Required SkillsStrong hands‑on experience with Exchange Hybrid, migration tooling, and coexistence.Practical experience with SharePoint Online administration, file share migrations, and permissions.Deep understanding of Teams architecture (policies, templates, apps) and Teams PowerShell automation capabilities.Strong experience in supporting Teams and M365 migration and management issues and troubleshooting.Understanding of compliance basics: DLP, sensitivity labels, external sharing.Familiarity with Power Platform governance (DLP, environments) is highly valued.Must have experience in migration of On Prem to cloud - M 365 platform
