About The Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Integration Engineer. This is a long-term contract role with an initial 10-month duration and 1 x 6-month extension option, located at our client’s Harman, ACT site (onsite).
As The Selected Candidate, You Will
Design, implement, manage and support simulation-based integrated infrastructure solutionsConfigure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure performance and complianceSupport virtualised server environments across Windows/Linux, VMware, storage, and backup systemsIntegrate legacy systems with modern platforms while minimising downtimeConduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuningProduce technical documentation, integration plans, and SOPsLiaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver outcomes
To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have
Experience integrating simulation training environments using RTI, HLA, and DIS toolsMinimum 5 years’ experience in ICT infrastructure or network engineering with strong system integration focusProficiency configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls (ASA, Firepower)Strong understanding of ICT security, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network designExperience with Windows/Linux server infrastructure and virtualisation platformsFamiliarity with automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or AnsibleStrong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skillsCisco CCNA certification
It Is Desirable If You Have
Experience in government or defence ICT environmentsKnowledge of ITIL frameworks and change managementDatabase exposure (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle)Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldCisco CCNP certificationAzure Administrator or Security certifications
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with NV1 clearance.
