Palm Lake Care Bargara is currently seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team on a Monday to Friday roster, 6:00am to 2:00pm.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work alongside the housekeeping and laundry team on the floor while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, infection control and presentation across the community. You will play a key role in training and mentoring staff, completing housekeeping audits, managing stock control and encouraging productivity while maintaining a warm, resident-focused environment.
Duties include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, dusting, vacuuming and mopping, as well as overseeing cleaning schedules, safe chemical use and supply ordering. Above all, you will ensure housekeeping services enhance residents' quality of life and provide an exceptional experience for residents, families and visitors.
What we are looking for:
• Experience in housekeeping within aged care or a similar environment, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team (highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of infection control principles
• Excellent time management, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A motivated, proactive approach with a strong focus on resident wellbeing
• High standards of hygiene and attention to detail
• Empathy, patience and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff
• National Police Check (Aged Care purpose)
