Undertake a range of tasks associated with the effective operation of the physical distribution of clinical consumables and non-clinical consumables. Perform computing-based tasks including scanning of imprest store locations. Undertake delivery of goods, receipting, handling and storage of clinical and non-clinical consumables.

About The Team

The Materials Distribution team at Children's Health Queensland (CHQ) is a small, highly efficient unit responsible for managing key logistical operations across the organisation. The team oversees the movement of goods from the loading dock to wards and other hospital locations, ensuring the smooth and timely receipt and dispatch of materials. In addition to managing internal mail services, they play a vital role in clinical consumable ordering for at Children's Health Queensland (CHQ), coordinating the supply of essential items to support continuity of care and maintain operational readiness.

About The Role

* Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
* Perform functions associated with the receipt, handling, storage, packing, dispatch, stocktaking and delivery of clinical consumables; equipment (clinical & non-clinical) and other goods.
* Perform delivery functions, in accordance with schedules and requirements, to meet customer needs.
* Support to imprest storage locations including maintaining bar code labels up to date, removing empty boxes & maintaining the storage locations in a neat and tidy state.
* Stock rotation within the ward imprest stores with the removal of expired stock. Expired stock register to be completed for NUMs approval.
* Undertake computing tasks including processing manual reservations and requisitions.
* Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Creation of accurate and timely back-order reports for imprest store locations.
* Maintaining back-order reports to wards via written and verbal communications. All back-orders to be escalated to ward NUMs/Clinicians and line manager as required.
* Be able to work in a team environment and promote relationships with supplier and internal customers, to ensure full-service outcomes.
* Complete Ad hoc tasks as requested by line manager.
* Raise with manager discrepancies or anomalies identified in relation to receipt, handling, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and delivery of stores.
* Attend and actively participate in team meetings
* Dispatch deliveries to supply companies and off campus departments via the contract courier.
* Operate materials handling equipment in accordance with operator instructions and safe practices.
