🧩 About the Role
As a Support Worker, you'll provide tailored assistance to individuals with disability, neurodivergence, and complex needs. Your role may include:
* Providing in-home and community-based support
* Assisting with daily routines, emotional regulation, and social engagement
* Supporting clients to access activities, appointments, and outings
* Encouraging independence, creativity, and confidence
* Collaborating with families, carers, and team leaders to ensure continuity of care
* Maintaining accurate, respectful documentation and communication
💡 We're Looking For
* A calm, compassionate presence with a person-led, strengths-based approach
* Experience or understanding of physical disabilities, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and sensory needs
* Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
* Ability to follow detailed support plans and adapt to individual needs
* Respect for client dignity, privacy, and autonomy
* Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical practice
✅ Requirements
* Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card (or willingness to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* First Aid & CPR certification
* First Aid & CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of commencing employment
* Driver's licence, comprehensive insurance and a reliable vehicle
* Full driver's licence is required (provisional licence not accepted)
* COVID-19 and flu vaccinations (as per current health guidelines)
* Relevant qualifications or experience in disability, mental health, aged care, or community services (desirable but not essential)
