Youth Focus is looking for a Clinical Educator to join our dynamic Geraldton team, located on Southern Yamatji country.

About the Role
The Clinical Educator is entrusted with the provision of clinical supervision, mentorship, educational content, facilitates learning, and provides ongoing support to all students and new graduates at the centre. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide principal and ongoing support for students, new clinicians and Early Careers Program (ECP) graduates placed at headspace Geraldton.
* Ensure adequate orientation for students and graduates, including all headspace policies, service delivery model, and appropriate integration to the headspace Geraldton team.
* Coordinate student placements for the headspace Geraldton service and maintain relationships with relevant universities, including being the primary contact and facilitating information sharing between headspace National and the service.
* Allocate and coordinate appropriate work volume and complexity of work to graduates, in line with capacity and to develop skill.
* Ensure clinical supervision of graduates and students is conducted by an appropriate supervisor (for students, in line with university requirements).
* Provide theory-to-practice support to graduates in accordance with the requirements of the ECP.
About You
To be considered for this position, applicants will have:
* Tertiary qualifications (bachelor's or higher) in a relevant discipline and current membership or registration with an appropriate professional body (eg. AHPRA, AASW).
* Minimum 3 years' clinical experience post qualification and be eligible to provide clinical supervision.
* Demonstrated experience delivering mental health services or programs to young people, their families, and friends.
* A passion for and demonstrated clinical leadership skillset, including experience mentoring, developing others and facilitating clinical supervision.
* A passion for working with young people and experience in engaging young people from 'at risk' populations (e.g. LGBTQIA+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander).
* Demonstrated experience and ability to engage work with and coordinate care for young people aged 12 to 25 years in areas of mental health and substance use intervention.
* Excellent written communication skills with an ability to document concise clinical case notes and ability to work through documentation requirements in a timely manner.
* Well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, government policies and strategic directions in relation to mental health and alcohol and other drug disorders, particularly as it relates to young people.
* 'C' Class Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Capacity to work outside of standard hours, when required.
