Job Description
The Senior Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
* Support and guide payroll team members on technical payroll matters
* Assist in coordinating workloads and maintaining accurate payroll cycles
* Provide level‐two support for payroll queries and system troubleshooting
* Ensure all pay runs are delivered accurately and on time
* Maintain documentation, process guides and audit materials
* Contribute to year‐end, month‐end and periodic reporting requirements
* Participate in testing Payroll functionality and system upgrades
* Identify training needs and support cross‐skilling within the team
* Partner with HR, Finance, Reporting and Systems teams
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Payroll Officer should have:
* Strong end‐to‐end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability
* Strong governance mindset and high attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Experience with payroll software
* Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation essential
