Job Title: Finance Manager
We're currently partnering with a respected infrastructure business that has delivered complex, high-impact projects across Australia for decades. With a practical mindset and strong operational capability, finance plays a central role in supporting delivery, shaping commercial decisions, and driving long-term growth.
We're looking for a confident, capable Finance Manager who's ready to step into a broad, hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving, project-based environment.
In this role, you'll take ownership of the finance function leading a small, capable team, working closely with senior leadership, and supporting operational teams across a national footprint.
You won't be sitting back in the background, you'll be in the detail, improving processes, delivering accurate reporting, and helping the business stay sharp and responsive as it grows.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day finance operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Provide commercial insights to support project delivery and operational planning
* Maintain strong financial controls, compliance, and end-of-month processes
* Identify opportunities for systems and process improvement
* Work closely with project managers, operations, and external partners
* Support the executive team with reporting and strategic analysis
Your Qualifications
* Strong experience in financial management or senior accounting roles
* A practical, solutions-focused mindset – someone who enjoys getting stuck in
* Confidence working in a project-based environment, with the ability to juggle priorities
* Solid systems experience, including Excel and ERP/reporting platforms
* Experience in construction, civil infrastructure, or a similar contracting environment will be highly regarded
About the Opportunity
* Full-time, permanent role based in Wollongong
* Competitive salary and supportive leadership team
* The opportunity to grow within the business as it continues to scale
* A role with variety, responsibility, and genuine influence
* A down-to-earth culture that values contribution, accountability, and team connection
* Regular team bonding days and an inclusive approach to recognition and support
This is a great step for someone who's confident in their technical ability but also wants a role with meaning and balance. If you're ready for something a little more grounded and people-focused, let's have a chat.
