In this key leadership role you will drive innovative research, education, and industry engagement in agriculture and agricultural sciences, shaping the future of sustainable and productive agricultural systems. Responsibilities
* Undertake internationally competitive research, publish in high‑impact journals, secure funding, supervise postgraduate students, and foster industry collaborations.
* Contribute to teaching programs, develop innovative curricula, deliver high‑quality learning experiences in plant sciences, precision agriculture, and mentor junior staff.
* Participate in strategic planning, promote public awareness, and uphold University values of diversity, inclusion, and ethical integrity.
* Manage performance, provide coaching and career development opportunities, allocate workloads, and ensure staff induction and training.
* Undertake administrative tasks, participate in professional development, and ensure occupational health and safety compliance.
Qualifications
* PhD in a relevant field with an outstanding research track record.
* Exceptional teaching and curriculum development skills in plant sciences, crop production, and digital agriculture technologies.
* Proven ability to secure research funding and manage large‑scale projects.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical conduct.
* Experience in supervising and mentoring staff and students.
