Job Role:
We seek a seasoned senior chef to lead our flight catering operations at Perth Airport.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain exceptional airline food quality standards across all classes.
* Oversee the planning and execution of production activities to achieve operational targets.
* Coordinate labour, resources, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient execution of operational plans.
* Manage all aspects of food catering, including meal presentations, charter catering, menu changes, and audits.
* Foster a culture of continuous efficiency and productivity improvement.
* Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
* Adhere to company HACCP and WHS policies.
* Implement waste management and cost controls.
* Ensure all kitchen staff are up-to-date with required training.
* Collaborate with the wider business to align production operations with overall strategy.
Requirements:
* Trade qualified with experience minimum to sous chef level or higher.
* Exposure to large-scale catering facilities in manufacturing or FMCG.
* Strong understanding of HACCP / Food Safety / WHS and QA.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven time management and leadership skills.
* Experience in managing a cross-functional team.
* Airline catering experience is highly desirable but not essential.
