The Opportunity Working with a multidisciplinary team, the Montessori Lead is responsible for delivering and leading the provision of care in line with the Montessori Model of Care. This role supports Southern Cross Care Tasmania’s commitment to providing compassionate, innovative, and person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and a strong sense of purpose for older people. We are seeking a full-time Montessori Lead to join our Yaraandoo Facility, based in Somerset (Burnie). This pivotal role focuses on promoting the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing of residents by partnering closely with residents, their families, and the wider care team. The Montessori Lead supports residents across everyday activities including eating and nutrition, personal hygiene, mobility, household tasks, meaningful roles, and leisure activities. Working collaboratively with care workers, nursing staff, and allied health professionals, the Montessori Lead contributes to positive resident outcomes and ensures any changes in health or wellbeing are identified and escalated appropriately.
