Business Support Officer Job Description
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Business Support Officer to join our team. This role will provide high-level administrative support to staff, volunteers, and brigades.
About the Team:
Our team is responsible for providing holistic rural fire management support and advice across Queensland. We work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and build operational capability.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide timely and appropriate support to staff, volunteers, and brigades through high-level administrative services.
* Undertake general office duties, including mail distribution, filing, diary control, travel arrangements, and maintenance of office equipment.
* Respond to enquiries from staff and volunteers relating to uniforms, equipment, and stationery.
* Coordinate and process training records, human resource, and finance administration activities.
* Liaise and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Utilise databases to create, update, analyse, and report on business activities.
Key Requirements:
* Government purchasing qualifications (level 1)
* Knowledge of or experience in the use of human resource systems, finance systems, database management, and reporting.
* Knowledge of or experience working with volunteers and/or within a volunteer organisation.
