Role Attendance during some school vacation periods may be required to fulfill this position. The Facilities Manager fulfils an important role by being responsible for security and maintenance of all college sites and ensuring the college complies with all statutory obligations and DET standards relating to site safety, OH&S management and compliance. It is important for the Facilities Manager to operate in a consistent, professional, courteous and efficient manner at all times. It is expected that the Facilities Manager will communicate effectively and develop a good working relationship with staff members, students and contractors at all levels. Responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Facilities Manager to:-
* Ensure that college buildings and grounds (including Nillahcootie Camp) are well maintained and presented including all buildings, facilities, plant/equipment, pathways, grounds and gardens in the most cost-effective manner.
* Coordinate the school buses and country bus service.
* Manage all OHS matters including coordinating OHS Meetings, mandatory inspections, asbestos management and reporting.
* Monitor and schedule Essential Safety Measure inspections to ensure compliance.

* Contractor Inductions

Benalla P-12 College was established in January 2013 as a result of the merger of all four government schools in Benalla. In 2024 major capital works were completed, which endowed the secondary college with a new STEAM building, administration building and state of the art food technology teaching space. We have also invested in our grounds with landscaped areas, and plenty of space to develop for creative minds. The College has a student population of approximately 700 across our three campuses, 400 in the Primary years and 300 at Secondary. We provide a vibrant, stimulating teaching and learning environment that commences with Foundation and continues through the secondary years to VCE and VCE VM.
