Our site in central Seymour employs over 350 staff providing a range of health services, including a 30-bed public hospital offering acute medical and surgical care, renal dialysis, and day procedures. Our services extend to post-acute care, palliative care, ambulatory services, oral health, district nursing, and community services. Barrabill House is a 40-bed residential aged care facility known for quality care. Located an hour north of Melbourne via the M31 Hume Freeway and V/Line railway, Seymour Health is easily accessible.
About The Position
We seek a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as After-Hours Coordinator, overseeing operations outside regular hours, including emergency response. Responsibilities include:
* Managing nursing staff and personnel to ensure safe, high-quality service delivery
* Providing clinical support in Acute, Aged Care, and Urgent Care settings
* Responding to and investigating incident reports promptly
* Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements (Aged Care, OHS, Childsafe, NDIS)
* Managing staffing rosters and compliance with the Safe Patient Care Act 2015
* Handling emergency situations calmly and efficiently as Chief Warden
* Fostering a positive organizational culture aligned with Seymour Health's values
About You
Ideal candidates will demonstrate professionalism, a commitment to organizational values, and:
* Experience resolving workplace conflicts professionally and sensitively
* Knowledge and participation in quality improvement and accreditation processes
* Experience in policy review and revision
* Current AHPRA registration
* Leadership skills and team supervision experience
* Ability to provide advanced clinical support and mentorship
* Emergency response skills
* Willingness to obtain Police Check and Working with Children Check
