**About the Assignment**
The primary objective of this position is to support the safe delivery of all electrical and instrumentation aspects of the Moomba CCS Facilities construction in line with the agreed schedule and quality requirements.
Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To ensure that the requirements of Santos EHS, culture and standards are complied with at all times.
- Maintain constant HSE vigilance to ensure all risks/hazards associated with construction activities are identified and managed to achieve ALARP/SFAIRP.
- Conduct field verifications and workplace interactions to audit Santos' Life Saving Rules and meet other required HSE KPIs.
- Foster positive and supportive relationships with Contractors, members of the project team, operations team, and other stakeholders.
- Closely monitor Contractor's construction schedule and quality of work daily and report any concerns to the FCS.
- Support and influence construction Contractor to deliver on the agreed schedule.
- Work with Client and Contractor teams to ensure free issued materials are available in line with the execution schedule.
- Expedite the resolution of any technical issues by working closely with Client and Contractor engineering personnel.
- Liaise with Santos operations team, Permit Officers and other contractors to ensure works progress as efficiently as possible and that SIMOPs are managed safely.
- Drive the progressive completion and handover of priority process and utility systems to expedite commencement of pre-commissioning and compress the overall construction to commissioning to start-up schedule.
- Support, collaborate and engage with Contractor's supervisory personnel to ensure all execution issues are identified promptly and that effective rectification plans are developed for approval and implemented safely and efficiently with minimum impact to project schedule and cost.
- Closely observe construction practices and activities to ensure optimum productivity and manpower/equipment utilization. Report any noted or suspected resource inefficiencies or inadequacies to the FCS.
- Attend field inspections/tests on behalf of Client in accordance with approved ITPs and endorse FIC/ITRs.
- Cover/deputise for FCS as required.
- Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS).
**About you**
- Qualified tradesman (or engineer) WITH electrical and instrumentation construction experience, ideally in the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in Client's site execution management team.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Experience on previous CCS project(s).
- Experience installing, pre-commissioning and commissioning gas compression, gas turbine and HRSG equipment.
- Construction of modularized or multiple component process equipment packages (TEG, coolers etc.)
