Global Medics is partnering with the Hunter New England Local Health District to recruit a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist/Consultant Psychiatrist in General Acute Adult Unit.

Key Responsibilities for the role:
* Undertake a planned, disciplined approach to consistently delivering the best possible experience for patients utilising HNELHD's Excellence Leadership Framework.
* Providing high quality, evidence based, patient focussed management and care to admitted and no admitted patients, families and carers through the participation and/or attendance at regular ward rounds, clinical handover clinics and whilst on call including consultation for patients within HNELHD .
* Proactively build and maintain collaborative partnerships to ensure team success, facilitate change, build consensus and respond to concerns raised by the team, management and patients.
* Educate and supervise undergraduate and post graduate multidisciplinary students and team members in accordance with the standards of the relevant training organisation (college/HETI/Universities/other).
Essential Selection Criteria:
* Coming from the UK - Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
* Other Countries - Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
* Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health
* Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team
