About the Role:
Reporting to a very experienced General Manager, you will take ownership of all aspects of Production, working closely with Sales and Finance functions in what is a key leadership role.
With an overarching goal of ensuring consistently high DIFOT whilst maintaining high levels of quality and minimising safety risks, you will lead a team of around 50 staff through 5 Team Leaders as you:
* Champion safe workplace practices and an environment in which safe behaviours remain top of mind.
* Identify, implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
* Monitor and manage DIFOT metrics to maximise production efficiency. and ensure strong customer relationships through outstanding service delivery.
* Foster the development and growth of your team, providing technical expertise, mentoring and coaching as you lead them to operational success.
* Ensure high levels of compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
About You:
You are a hands-on, action-oriented leader with deep experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication and/or laser cutting environments.
Ideally you hold relevant Trade qualifications, while additional qualifications in Safety, Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) and/or Management will be highly regarded.
You bring to the table:
* A history of delivering operational improvement through your people, leading individuals and teams to higher levels of performance.
* A track record of creating or enhancing a positive Safety culture.
* Experience in identifying and successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
* A demonstrated history of achieving DIFOT KPIs.
