ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co‐worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
* Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.
* Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition.
* Engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea.
* Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
* Constantly on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties.
As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co‐worker you are:
* Passionate about the work of implementing your designs from a sketch into reality, as you are a practical and hands‐on individual, with proven ability to work in a fast‐paced retail environment.
* Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people's everyday life at home, grasping the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles.
* A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
* Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
* Experienced with programs such as REVIT, preferred but not essential. Having a Design qualification, previous Visual Merchandising experience and experience in Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office is preferred.
