Position Overview
Reporting to the Owner or Salon Manager, the Hairdresser is responsible for cutting, styling, colouring, and treating clients' hair to make them look and feel their best. We are also seeking a passionate and experienced Hairdresser to join our busy salon in Enfield.

Task & Responsibilities
Client Consultation and Service
* Welcome clients and conduct consultations to understand their styling needs, preferences, and expectations.
* Provide expert advice on suitable hairstyles, colours, and treatments that align with individual features and lifestyles.
* Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through professional, courteous, and attentive service delivery.
Hair Cutting, Styling, and Colouring
* Perform precision haircuts, trims, beard and moustache shaping in accordance with client requirements and current trends.
* Execute hairstyling services using professional tools and techniques, including blow‑drying, straightening, and curling.
* Apply hair colouring, highlighting, and chemical treatments in line with safety and quality standards.
* Conduct hair washing, conditioning, and treatment procedures tailored to client hair types and conditions.
* Identify common hair and scalp issues and propose suitable solutions or treatments.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines when handling chemical and cosmetic products.
Cleanliness, Hygiene, and Salon Maintenance
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, tools, and salon equipment.
* Ensure compliance with salon hygiene, sanitation, and occupational health and safety standards.
* Contribute to the overall upkeep and professional presentation of the salon environment.
Professional Development and Team Collaboration
* Stay informed about emerging hair trends, new products, and advanced techniques through continuous learning.
* Participate actively in salon meetings, workshops, and professional training programmes.
* Support colleagues and promote a positive, cooperative, and team‑oriented work culture.

* Excellent technical skills in cutting, colouring, and styling.
* Strong creativity and an eye for detail.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to cleanliness and WHS safety guidelines.
* Clear written and verbal communication.
* Proven capacity to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Special Conditions
* Availability to work extended hours, overtime on Saturday and Sunday by mutual agreement.
* Role involves long periods of standing, bending and lifting moderate weights.
* Unisex salon with a predominantly male clientele; services are available for all clients (women and children).
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Qualification & Experience
* AQF Certificate III in Hairdressing or AQF Certificate IV (or equivalent qualification)
* At least 1 year of relevant full‑time work experience
* Working knowledge of WHS & environmental standards
* The position is open to all AU citizens, PRs and full‑time work holders
