Job Title: Urgent Care Practice Nurse
The Urgent Care Practice Nurse will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure all patients that present to the urgent care service are identified as being appropriate for the service, triaged promptly and provided with front-line care in collaboration with the urgent care medical practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Primary Point of Contact - The first point of contact for patients in urgent care; takes charge of triaging every patient who walks through the door with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
* Conduct thorough and precise nursing triage - quickly assess patient needs and prioritize care to ensure the best outcomes.
* Act decisively in critical moments - identify and escalate emergencies or patient deterioration without hesitation to safeguard patient health.
* Perform hands-on procedural care such as suturing and plastering, expanding your expertise in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as you respond to the unique challenges of urgent care.
* Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care - collaborate closely with patients, their families, carers, and medical practitioners to ensure a supportive care experience.
